I have something to send

Your crate
rides along.

Post it in a minute. Someone already driving that way brings it.

Send a box
I'm driving there anyway

Take one
with you.

Add your route. Pick a box that fits your trip and earn a little.

Find boxes on my route

Paxmit matches things that need to go somewhere with people who already drive there.

How it works

Three steps, either way

Senders save a trip. Drivers earn a little on a trip they make anyway.

1

Post your box

Say what it is, how big, where it goes and by when. The app suggests a fair price.

2

A driver takes it along

Someone with a checked ID who drives that way anyway picks it up.

3

Hand over with a code

The receiver gives a 4-digit code. Only then the box counts as delivered.

Live demo

Be both people at once

Sara sends, Max drives. Both phones are live and update each other.

  1. Sara: is new. She creates her profile and confirms her ID.
  2. Sara: taps "Send" and posts a box in four short steps.
  3. Max: is already registered and on his way to work. Sara's box appears on his route. He takes it.
  4. Max: in "Activity", taps "I picked it up". Sara sees her handover code.
  5. Max: enters Sara's code. Both rate each other and see the CO₂ they saved.

Safety

Built on trust

You hand your things to someone you haven't met. Every step has a check.

ID check

Everyone verifies their ID once before sending or driving.

Ratings

Senders and drivers rate each other after each delivery.

Live location

Follow your box while the driver shares their location.

Handover code

The box counts as delivered only with the receiver's code.

For farms and small shops

Regional food, fewer empty trips

Farms drive small orders into town every week, often half empty. Paxmit lets their crates travel with people who drive in anyway.

Research

A master thesis project

Paxmit is part of a master thesis in Creative Direction at Hochschule Pforzheim, bridging design and Lean Startup.

What I'm testing

  • Will commuters carry a stranger's box for a small fee?
  • Which trust signals make senders hand over their goods?
  • Do farms prefer a pickup service or shared trips with other farms?

How

Interviews with direct-marketing farms across Germany, a manual pilot with local farms, and this prototype for user tests.

Questions

Good to know

What can I send?

Everyday things that fit in a car: food crates, parcels, borrowed tools. Weapons, drugs, alcohol, cash, valuables over 500 € and live animals aren't allowed.

How does payment work?

In this prototype, no money moves. A full version would hold the payment in the app until the handover code is confirmed.

Is my box insured?

Not in the prototype. A launch would insure each box up to a set value through a partner insurer.

Where is my data stored?

In this demo, only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Try it in one minute
